Hackney Marshes 5k and 1k fun run
The 5k race will take place on Hackney Marsh and will use a single lap course mostly on tarmac paths but partly on grass. The race will be held under UK Athletics rules (license number 2009-100354).
The course has been measured by Hugh Jones (a UK Athletics level 1 course measurement official, and the first British man to win the London Marathon) and has received a UKA certificate of course accuracy.
The 1k fun run is an out and back 500m, across Hackney Marsh. And is accessible to old and young alike.
